Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

Happy Easter, Happy Spring~

A field of Bradford Pear trees as the sun came up~

~ Happy Easter to those of you who Believe ~

"Easter, also called Pasch, or Resurrection Sunday, is a festival and holiday celebrating the

resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, described in the New Testament as having

occurred on the third day of his burial after his crucifixion by Romans at Calvary c. 30 AD.

It is the culmination of the Passion of Christ, preceded by Lent, a forty-day period of

fasting, prayer, and penance"

Bradford Pear trees, so beautiful during the Spring blossom time, but now I understand that they have become invasive and that is not a good thing~

I visited Henry's Ark a wildlife preserve and photographed the Peacocks and Peahen this                                                                                  past week~

My Siberian Squill is always one of the first flowers to show under the trees and close to the ground~

Early nesting and rearing of young ones duty for the little Chickadee pair in my neighbor's backyard~

Eveas, the Praying Mantis
Our Winter visitor was with us 3 months as of yesterday, March 24.  He has begun to fade and I cannot imagine he will survive much longer.  I have really grown to enjoy him and the way he follows me with his eyes and he also knows my voice.  My husband thought that I should maybe order one as a pet, but their life span being so short, and my getting attached, I would rather not.  If one comes to Tingsgrove again some cold Winter's day, I would welcome it, as it has been a fascinating journey nonetheless~

*** Update...I find it almost symbolic somehow, that our Christmas Eve visitor has perished this day on Easter Eve~

One of my dear blogging friends Sallie (FullTime-Life) said in the comments below..

The update on Eveas reminded me of a favorite quote that you probably know already: "The Butterfly counts not months but moments and has time enough."

I like that!

On just about any given day, the one bird voice, that I can always count on hearing, is that of a Blue Jay~

Blue and pink Hydrangeas, and those colours found in between, all beautiful~

* Note...
Now for some fun information, that you may, or may not have known...
I did not until I looked it up for this post.

"According to Smithsonian.com, the shift toward pink and blue happened gradually. For centuries, all children had worn practical white dresses, which could easily be pulled up to change diapers, and bleached when said diapers inevitably exploded. Pastel baby clothes were introduced in the mid-19th century, but according to University of Maryland historian Jo B. Paoletti, author of Pink and Blue: Telling the Girls From the Boys in America, the colors weren't gender-specific at first.

Ladies' Home Journal article in June 1918 said, "The generally accepted rule is pink for the boys, and blue for the girls. The reason is that pink, being a more decided and stronger color, is more suitable for the boy, while blue, which is more delicate and dainty, is prettier for the girl." Other sources said blue was flattering for blonds, pink for brunettes, or blue was for blue-eyed babies, pink for brown-eyed babies, according to Paoletti.
In 1927, Time magazine printed a chart showing sex-appropriate colors for girls and boys according to leading U.S. stores. In Boston, Filene's told parents to dress boys in pink. So did Best & Co. in New York City, Halle's in Cleveland and Marshall Field in Chicago.
In the 1940s manufacturers settled on pink for girls and blue for boys, so Baby Boomers were raised with wearing the two colors."

Now for my news...
We have 4 grandsons and coming in December, I am delighted to announce that our first grand-daughter Maci Marette will arrive, and we could not be more delighted!
This is her first photograph and here she weighs 11 ounces and is seen sucking her thumb.

Have a very Happy week, be blessed and stay safe~
