Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

Much to Share With My Friends~

Hi there... I have been missing you all once again, but will try this week to catch up with many of you.  I had my last physiotherapy appointment last week as well as got a triple gel injection into my worst knee.  It should take a few more weeks to know if the whole of the process has done a good thing for me, but I am feeling confident. I hope that each of you are doing well and I can't wait to scroll down and see what everyone has been up to.
As I said in my previous post, goodness on November 11, where has the time escaped me...I would share our conifer trees that live on this land that we call home.  I have planted assorted Holly, Spruce, Hemlock trees on this land the past 35 years and they are doing well.  In fact I have a Holly tree this season that has fruit berries for the first time.  Only one out of some dozen Hemlocks remains...huge sigh.  Sometimes we have drought as we have this past season and it is just too difficult to drag connected hoses to some of the trees and they cannot thrive.

The Oak tree below is the largest tree on our land and I had a difficult time even getting the fullness of the height of it~

When we first moved here I planted Ivy around some of the trees and some of it has well, sort of taken over and this Oak tree is covered in it~

Some of the conifers~

My lonely Hemlock ;)~

Love my Norway Spruce...we have three~

Megan is my next door neighbor and she competed in her first horse show a couple of weeks ago.  She rode in a few classes and placed in each of them.
I also watched a couple of the younger children who I just thought were too precious not to share~

Out and about the county, all taken from inside the car, as could not walk too far YET~

A Whole Lot Going On Around This Place~

We are beginning to see signs that Autumnal leaf colour and the falling away of leaf canopy is working it's way on our land and shall soon give way to bareness around our home.
Our two devoted friends Meaka will turn 8 in December and Silveit will be 3 in January~

A female Praying Mantis looking for a place to lay her egg sack.  It will hopefully be protected through the Winter and come Spring, some 100 or more baby Praying Mantis shall erupt from within~

Garden decos around my home and a juvenile Ruby Throated Hummingbird that needs to figure out very quickly which direction South is~

Above both Gray and Red Fox Squirrels have been hoarding nuts and below the American Robins are filling up on all sorts of berries~

Home at Tingsgrove~

I had the pleasure of attending the Ironman Triathlon this past weekend, and I was so happy that I did. What a glorious morning, the weather was cool and beautiful, the people were so friendly and it was right in my own county, within walking distance of our home... The athletes were amazing and just watching them do their thing, was so inspiring. Such dedication.
John Boel from WAVE once again participated.
One of the participants was 74 years young, whoosh.
"An Ironman Triathlon is one of a series of long-distance triathlon races organized by the World Triathlon Corporation (WTC) consisting of a 2.4-mile (3.86 km) swim, a 112-mile (180.25 km) bicycle ride and a marathon 26.2-mile (42.2 km) run, raced in that order and without a break. It is widely considered one of the most difficult one-day sporting events in the world."

WAVE News TV Journalist John Boel has competed a few years and I got this shot of him as he went past me.  I shared it on their WAVE NEWS site and was blessed to receive 244 likes...very nice~

I had the pleasure of meeting these two lovely ladies and stood with them the whole morning.  Maureen is on the left and Mary Jo her daughter-in-law on the right.  Mary Jo's brother Gregg (two images below) also competed and he finished the course in 11.11 hours.  Congratulations to all of the participants~

Our favorite buck was taking a nap at the rear of our property last week~

Google has fun making these animations with my wildlife images~

Every year like clock work, the week of October 15 is when the Cedar Waxwings begin to arrive and  I absolutely love them~

And lastly a sad ending for number two of four baby Groundhogs born across the lane.  This had been my favorite, the little runt.  I fondly had called him Rolphie.  I brought him to out land and gave him a proper burial~
