Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

Series 1 Kentucky Oaks Day~

The running of the 138 Kentucky Oaks was held this past Friday evening.
It was my dream come true to attend and it was truly a wonderful day.
It  falls on the Friday before the Kentucky Derby, another dream, but that will have to wait for another year.
I had felt ill most of the week, and feared that I might not be able to attend.
My Internist had wanted me to go into the hospital for some tests, and then we decided that I would wear a heart monitor for 48 hours.
Of course, it as just as he thought might happen..."You see that it is going to rain, you have your umbrella with you all day, and never see a drop of rain."
Such was the case for me during those 48 hours.
My symptoms are very difficult to describe, and I have been having these episodes/events for nearly a year now.
I had only 2 in March and then in 5 days time last week, I had 8.
If I get more than 5 hours sleep in a normal night of sleeping, that would be remarkable. When I have these events take place, I am zonked for days.
They only last about 30 to 45 seconds, but the aura that comes over me first, the actual event and the feeling of what follows is a couple of minutes.
I really prayed that something would occur while on the monitor, yet it was not the case.
I will have to continue forward and wait and see what the next move will be.
I appreciated so much your encouraging words last week, thank you!

Pink was the theme for the day, Lilies were the flower, along with tiny pink Roses.

This first series begins with me, in the hat that I created for myself, and then goes into the paddock area, the running of the first race, then a turf race, the dis-mounting of a winning jockey, a horse's sponge bath and more.
You may also recognize the famous Thoroughbred trainer Bob Baffert, seen with his lovely wife Jill. She used to be a local newscaster, in Louisville before meeting Mr. Baffert several years ago.
I hope that you will enjoy this first series...and I hope you don't get too bored, for I have several weeks worth to share.

Have a wonderful Monday, Mosaic Monday and week ahead~
