Free home to good occupants, I think NOT~

Red-Bellied Woodpeckers have driven us to our wits at trying to keep them from pecking holes in our treated wood home. Every breeding season they begin, and many times they do damage before we realize what happened. Our home is 3 stories tall, and difficult to mend, so after we chase the woodpeckers off, the Gray Squirrels take over the empty cavity. Free home to good occupants, I think NOT... They are quite a lovely bird and other than the hole drilling of our home, are quite good chums to have around. This time of year, besides mixed bird seed, they enjoy a variety of fruit and seed suet, as well as cracked and whole corn~

    great pictures again. I have never seen a red-bellied woodpecker here. That will have to be one of my life birds sometime.
