Yep, I said it correctly, walking dinosaurs...just like walking the pet dog, well almost. These large scrap metal sculptures are set up in various locations along the highways of Iowa, and I thought this was too cute, not to share. The fields of grain, from corn, to soybeans, Indian corn, and sunflowers, and more dotted the land in Iowa, as we headed west toward South Dakota for our next stop. We had reached another stopping point, when I spotted one of my most favored birds, the Barn Swallows. The young one was just too curious and I was just too awestruck and had to get in a few nice captures, before leaving to carry on with our long distance course~
Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

That's the Swallows for you. A person taking his dog for a little walk, lol. All are brilliant.

ReplyDeleteand those sculptures are brilliant!!!
Hi Mary, I like your Barn Swallow pics very much and although it's the same species as over here, the US one looks bit more colourful. Those dinosaur sculptures are a superb addition to the landscape and if I was driving close to I would just have to stop and take lots of pictures too.
