Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

The Ending of Another Year~

I hope that those who celebrate Christmas, had a very wonderful time with family and friends.  My husby and myself celebrated his 69th birthday on the 18th, mine on the 21st, our 47th wedding anniversary on the 22nd and then Christmas.   The images above and just below are of my little village, town, city, that we have called home since 1978.  Can you see the train tracks coming down the middle of Main Street?  We are one of a handful of towns in the United States that still have this~

Our Christmas tree has been up since before Thanksgiving and will come down the second weekend in January by tradition~

The naughty kit cat Survhee Pipka...lol, is actually a very good kitty, except she was eating the artificial snow off of the tree fronds of my tree~

My twin grands sang in their school's Winter concert~

Daughter Ashleigh and her husband didn't get home for the holidays but did have fun taking a young man and his mother on a dream journey to the Magic Kingdom and Disney World~

My twin sister and I turned 69 on December 21st.  I am actually two minutes older than her ;)~

Daughter Brittany treated me to a wonderful lunch of Sushi for my birthday~

The new bridge was in the background of the Captain's Quarters along the Ohio River where husby and I celebrated over a nice dinner for our 47th wedding anniversary.  The East End Bridge opened on his birthday and was renamed the Lewis and Clark Bridge that same day~

Many may remember that my father-in-law passed away back in March of last year.  His home had been a part of the family since 1962 and this past Summer our oldest daughter and her husby purchased it and have made it their home now.  It was such a treat to spend Christmas Eve with them in a home that we had celebrated many times with family in many years past~

On Christmas day we arrived to a yummy breakfast with our daughter Brittany and her little family.  Any chance to spend time with family makes everything perfect~

Svetka turned 7 months old today and she is doing really well with training sessions and learning good manners~

White-tailed Deer~

A Great Blue Heron seemed to be sliding, gliding, skating on ice the other day at Crystal Lake~

We recently drove to a nearby area of our county that we only visit once in a long while...why...well you look and see, there isn't much there, everything is falling down~

A sweet little artsy cottage en route to our daughter's home~

One of my favorite gits was a handmade cross...just beautiful.
HAPPY NEW YEARS BLESSINGS to all~
