Believe it, or not, we had not planned on a visit to the Grand Canyon National Park, but we were so glad that we changed our minds.
It was magnificent!
This is the second National Park system, of a total of ten that I will be sharing with you in coming days and weeks.
It is taking a lot longer than I had anticipated to gather them all together and then select my favorites to share with you.

A Painted Lady butterfly at the top of the Grand Canyon pathway~
The Least Chipmunk, or Golden Manteled Ground Squirrel...not sure which this was... was leaping from such high walls, I could not believe how agile it was~
This squirrel is neither the Kaibab Squirrel, or Albert's Squirrel that live in the park,
and so I was not sure of the
species name of this guy, who ran across my path to take a dust bath~
The river looked like a tiny thread so far at the bottom of the canyon~
In the mosaic below, I took images from the same vantage point, only I took the lens out a little further on each one taken~
Beautiful photos from your Grand Canyon visit! The color and formations of the Canyon are gorgeous. Wonderful mosaics!

ReplyDeleteWOW! I'm so glad you went and took this amazing photos! When we went a few years ago, I was not taking as many as I do now. And it's hard to capture the magnificence and scale of this enormous canyon. It really does take your breath away!

ReplyDeleteMy parents used to live in Arizona and I have visited this park many times. Yet, no matter how many trips I have taken to enjoy it's beauty I am always in awe. Your photos are stunning and I especially enjoy seeing the wildlife. I am your newest follower.
