~For the most part, I shall allow the images to speak for themselves~
Spring brings not only flowers and a fresh green canopy of green, but squabbles and territory disputes. On Monday I take my 88 year old father-in-law on outings, often times, to go feed the ducks, geese and swans at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.
For nearly a year now, I have been battling a physical ailment, which when the events/episodes occur, places me in a place of great lament and a feeling of doom. Yesterday this came upon me and I could not take Dad on our outing and he was quite upset, as he so looks forward to it.
Since Friday at 11:00 AM, I have gone through 8 of these strange episodes, and I have to say, it is very frightening, especially when we still do not have any answers. It totally depletes me of my energy.
I am to attend the Kentucky Oaks horse races at Churchill Downs this Friday and I so want to feel up for it, as I have waited decades for the opportunity.
Today I went to my Internist as well as had to go to the hospital, so they could put one of those heart monitors on for the second time in 4 years. I am actually hoping that something happens in the next 24 hours, so that we can finally know what is causing these things to happen.
The occurrences are very difficult to describe with any great clarity.
That being said, these images were taken over the past few weeks and I thought to share them with you now for World Bird Wednesday~
I am also linking with World Bird Wednesday, please visit other birding photographers and enthusiasts from around the world at:

Duck on a pond, I love them all. The Swans are enjoying themselves. Brilliant photos.

ReplyDeleteEach and every one of your photographs are spectacular! Excellent action shots and the beautiful swan images are so very lovely.
Feel better!
Great photos Mary! The wing stretched photos of the Mallards are awesome and the montage of the Mute Swans mating is marvelous. They always look like they're drowning when those large waterfowl mate. My favorite shot though is the last one with the Mute Swans creating the heart with their necks!
ReplyDeleteMary, I do hope you'll be restored to complete health soon. In the meantime, you'll be in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteYour photos are so wonderful with all that color and action. Good to know the one who cares for the birds holds you close to His heart.

ReplyDelete30 must be my number, for I shall round out this comment as number 30, like another on I just did.
ReplyDeleteThank you all so very much for your sweet and encouraging words with this health issue. I am still feeling very tired, not a lot of extra energy, and I still have no answers, as the heart monitor failed to catch an event. It has been a week today since I had an episode, and yet, I have felt like there is something just not right. Hoping to feel better really soon.
Hugs to all~
Mary
