At First Glance...Double Vision~

It has been a couple of not so great days, as my neck and shoulders have been aching, and the time change has been still awaking me at unheard of early hours, and then I am awake for 16 to 18 hours and well...not fun, but today is oh so much better...yeah;)

After market the other day, I was en route home, when I stopped to allow 4 deer to cross the country lane in front of me.  I snapped a few quick images and once home, had to giggle, for at first glance, 2 of the deer were standing so close together, it looked like a 2 headed deer.

The Mockingbird was busy protecting it's hedgerow from the smaller Sparrows....just something to do.  Mockingbirds are lovely, they make beautiful voice music, but they can be quite mean to other songbirds, and will even attack hawks, and even we humans when walking dogs if we get to close to "their territory".

Have you had your flu shots, your pneumonia shots yet?  If not, you should consider doing so.  I am getting my flu shot later this morning and it is a good thing;)~

  1. Just Lovely Mockingbird shots Mary. And I think we have all taken pictures that when once home and in the cruel light of the day we are disappointed with, but your deer picture is just fine. I can see two deer with 2 heads. (No, I mean two deer, each with a head, LOL). Had my flu jab weeks ago thanks.

  3. Amazing shot of your two-headed deer! The doe an d her calf are so precisely superimposed. Why do birds always look more beautiful in the fall? They just manage to look great against autumn foliage. I suppose also the fact that they are so well fed at this season makes them look better.

Hope you get adjusted real soon!
