OK, so I blew it not once but twice when it came to opportunities to photograph Golden Eagles. Both missed times were along the highway when perched and looking rather regal and I was heart sick because even if Bill was willing to turn around, or pull off, it was after all 75 mph on a 4 lane Interstate and well, safety first... Soooo, I did get several of this one soaring at a distance, but one can still tell that this is most assuredly a Golden. In fact this was one of a pair that was soaring and I kept my attention to this one, as it was the nearest of the two. I did get a couple also of perched birds on street signs which were not becoming the birds majesty at all, and I may, or may not ever share them~
Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

Wonderful shots! I don't think I could distinguish the difference between an eagle and a hawk flying. I just don't have enough experience yet I guess.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a good job with these pictures. I never can get pictures of birds. They fly away as soon as the car stops, it seems as long as the cars are moving they pay them no mind, but, stop and they are off like the speed of lightning.
ReplyDeleteWhat a majestic bird. We don't see many in Ohio.
ReplyDeleteHey Mary, you live in a real nice area - Golden Eagles as well! Over here we refer to them as barn doors (in flight). Have a great weekend with lots of birds.
