Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

Humming Bird, Hummingbird Moth, or Both~
We have all heard the saying " Take time to smell the roses", and just when I thought that I had been doing that all along, something that has always been there suddenly shows up in my vision and I am so delighted, yet feel a loss as to how on earth had I missed it for so long... I had visited my neighbor's garden across the lane the other day and saw my first Hummingbird Moth. My images that day did not turn out so well, so I went looking for them again. This time I saw a different colour variation at a local farm called Foxhollow in Prospect. I also managed a to capture a couple images of our Ruby Throated Hummingbird and thought it would be fun to place them together~

Wow I'm.....stunned... Mary the first and the last shot of this series are two of the best pictures I've ever seen of this species, because they are quite different from what you can usually see and their is, on both of them, a graphical effect that is splendid... I think i prefer the first one, it is just a pure marvel!!!
ReplyDeleteLove the photos Mary, I have never seen a real hummingbird moth lucky you :)
