It is that time of year when the Yellow-Shafted Flickers put on their show of dueling, though, it is a very nice duel...no one gets hurt, just chased off eventually. In the meantime, there were at first two males taking part in the duel, and then a third one joined in. One of the males even kept going to the entry way of what shall hopefully become the nest cavity and kept a watch check on it as the other two would duel a bit and then he would join in once again...
Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~
