Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.

First Flight for 7 Week Old Eyas...YEAH~

The young one was seven weeks old yesterday and today was forced by mobbing Blue Jays to take flight.  I missed the first flight, but saw that it was in a tree on our grove and then I watched it as it returned to nest tree.  Later it was chased again, only away from where I was.  The third flight was the charm in that it once again came to the grove and I got tons of images to upload later.  I could hardly wait to share the flight images of this treasure that I am so pleased has made it this far.  One once told me you cannot take the wild ones from the cradle to the grave and I truly would never desire that, though helping as I can, as I have with these beauties, I shall continue to do as I have for years now, help when and as I am able~

Note~ The young one was panting due to a number of issues, extreme heat this day, and stressed due to the constant mobbing from the Blue Jays.  The adults never came to it's rescue, as they have been doing the past couple of days.  This will in the long run make the young one stronger and more able to deal with this sort of behavior~
