Single Young Eyas Celebrating My First Blogging Anniversary Year...Enjoy~

Since the thought first came to me that I should begin a blog of nature, wildlife, birds, my gift of photography, I felt that the name was perfect for me.  You see, these Red-Shouldered Hawks are such a pleasure for me, and I search for them year round and try to keep up with them as best I can.  The fact that I have also been able to lend a hand in making sure that 2 young Eyas the past 3 years made it to adulthood, only adds to me more love of these beautiful birds.  For some, that may not like the thought that these must kill daily a couple of times, and even more when feeding young ones, may not enjoy them as much, but one cannot ignore their beauty.  The adults are totally devoted life mates and they are even more devoted in raising their young ones.  I have witnessed some pretty awful things happen with them, but I have witnessed even greater joys along with them and that is what makes it so worthwhile~  This season 3 nest attempts, loss of 7 eggs and one single Eyas is thriving at the end of it's 5th week~
