Visiting a Bald Eagles Nest~

Back in February, I was privately introduced to this nest site and shared the empty nest with you. Yesterday after following the world wide live cam set up for Bald Eagles in Iowa for over a week...I thought...hmmmm wonder about the pair here and what they have been up to. I took the long drive just on the assumption that something might be in the works. As soon as I arrived, I could see the familiar white head feathers of a Bald Eagle. I only took a few brief images and then drove the lovely drive back home. I shall continue to follow the progress every two weeks, or as best I can, and post updates.

NOTE:Due to the very sensitive issues involved, I am not at liberty to share where this nest is, so thanking you in advance for not asking~

  2. Beautiful collection Mary. This is something we are not allowed to do over here as it is a protected species. So we are not allowed to go under 300m from a nest site... We can only take pictures when they hunt or fly!

I love and enjoy each visitor to "Red Shouldered Hawks of Tingsgrove and Beyond." I truly appreciate those who have become followers to my blog and really am encouraged by the wonderful comments. I also enjoy leaving comments and would like to ask that you please make your blog word verification free! You still have top security settings and you still have control over the comments published. It would make it so much easier, if you would consider doing this. I switched several months ago and am thrilled with the results~
