Cardinals going through molting season~

A female Cardinal going through her molting season, usually following breeding season~ She looks as though she is hiding, because she may feel a bit~well~ unfeathered. This molting process makes her orange/red beak really stand out along with her large black eyes~Many songbirds molt during this season, however the male and female Cardinals, and Blue Jays molt to the point, that they lose all of their crest feathers and in fact all feathers on their heads at once, making them rather funny looking. This does not last long, as the new feathers come in rather quickly and once again they shall be amazing looking birds~
