Woodie Atop a Utility Pole~

Got to view another cool Red-headed Woodpecker.  This one was way up high on a utility pole, but I did manage to get three photograpghs before it flew away~

    Wow I mean wow, its head is totally red!!! What a gorgeous bird this seems to be! Nice to spot it like this and to get pictures of it. Is it common?

    Gorgeous catch!
    I see woodpeckers quite often (there are 4 different species around here), but I never spotted one on top of a pole.

    Great capture! I don't see those very often and am always thrilled when I do see one. They like high spots that can catch bugs from.
