This little Titmouse had just taken a dunk in our birdbath when I spotted it drying itself off. We also have a couple of areas along our creek that in 30 years have never completely dried up even with severe droughts. Birds gather daily to bath there as well~
Bathtime at Tingsgrove..lovely.
ReplyDeletePoor little mite looks wet through but birds dry out so very quickly you must have been on the ball to capture those photos so quickly Mary.
ReplyDeleteNothing like a good bath to cool down on a hot day. The wet feathers do make your titmouse look a little bedraggled.
ReplyDeleteInteresting story about your bluejay. The hawks need to eat too but still its only natural to root for the prey.
