Just yesterday one of our neighbors had alerted me to the fact an adult White-tailed deer had been killed along the country lane near our home. She shared that when she drove by, a large hawk was feasting on the remains. It was not until this morning that I was able to drive over for a look-see. While the hawk was not feasting, it was up in a tree overlooking the carcass. It was a beautiful Red-tailed hawk. These first photographs for this post is one of three sets taken, and I shall post the others a bit later, for each have their own story to tell~
Great pictures. Maybe you should change your blog to "Red-tailed......... I have never seen a Red-shouldered hawk and hope to do so someday. Great post. Watch the hawk and see what happens.
