So...I have looked in my favorite bird books and I have come up with a couple of ideas, possibly a kind of Flycatcher... yet I am just not certain what this bird species is. Could someone please help me identify it. The bird stayed was way up high in the trees back when the hawk was on nest and in area... I had never seen it before and I have not seen it since the day I took these images. What caught my eye was while looking up, I could view a lovely shade of yellow as it flew about and it was at least as large as a Thrush.~
Note~ Thanking you in advance!

ReplyDeleteLooks like you captured some shots of a Great-crested Flycatcher there Mary. A lovely bird.
ReplyDeleteA huge thank you to Dominic Gendron and Phil Slade~ Both identified this beauty as a Great Crested Flycatcher. How delightful to know this and now I shall learn about this new visitor to Tingsgrove. I am so hoping I get to view it again one day~
ReplyDeleteI'm a little late but definitely a Great-crested. Cool find, Mary. I'm pretty fond of these birds. And great shots of him, too!
