Some of my perennials in the small gardens we have in our wee gardens, and 8 1/2 year old Meaka on the left and 3 1/2 year old Silveit on the right~
A first year Red-Shouldered Hawk hunting and it caught some kind of large insect~
I LOVE wind chimes. The first ones below were brand new last month and went rusty right away, but I like them very much~
Bill had a lot more dog walking duties with me laid up following my recent knee surgery~
Red-Tailed Hawk on Covered Bridge Road, Prospect in Oldham County, KY~
Above, I am so happy to finally have Leatherleaf Mahonia growing in the gardens. Red Honeysuckle below grows at the fence line of my neighbors and my property~
A Great Blue Heron hunting at the Parklands in Jefferson County. The white fluff is floating down from female Cottonwood trees as well as a few insects flitting around the water~
My Roses are beginning their bloom season~

So many fallen soldiers. So many memories. I very much enjoyed the views around your garden. I like wind chimes too, and I love your rusty ones. I had never seen red honeysuckle before. So pretty. Hello Mary. I hope you enjoying Father's Day as much as I am, especially that we now have some quiet after entertaing our 3 kids , their spouses and three grandchildren. Wonderful to see them all together and enjoying each other's company. Soon we will be 5 as our youngest Joanne and hubby Ian are in the throes of adopting 2 kids.

Do take care after your knee op. I'm wishing you a speedy and successful recovery. I have been quite lax in my birding and blogging with the continuance of my debilitiating muscular aches meaning thqat any birding I do is car based only, and I'm longing to get out and walk somewhere. My old GP spotted it immediately - "statins" he said "Don't take anymore for now" and sent my bloods for analysis. Hopefully my body will recover from any long term damage.

It was just beautiful around your house back at the end of May (I'm catching up after a very busy month of June). It's always bittersweet for me to see the beautiful Cave Hill Cemetery; I think about the time we got to visit my grandmother's grave (and many other ancestors) buried there..
