A Visit to Cave Hill~

Cave Hill is one of the top 10 cemeteries in the United States and it is located in Louisville, Kentucky.  Besides being one of he most beautiful cemeteries it is also a Botanical Garden.  I have been visiting here since I was a small child and go at least a couple of times a month.  There are glorious spring blossoms showering forth right now as well as many songbirds and other wildlife making nests and pairing up.
Here is just a brief preview of some of what I viewed the last visit, the one before making another one tomorrow with a friend whom wanted to join me on a tour of the beauty of this place~

Happy Monday, Happy Week~

  7. Wow, great photos. In a place we associate with death, great to see such vivacious life can thrive and bloom. Spring has well and truly sprung in your part of the world!

  12. Was that first sentence of yours deliberately provocative Mary? I mean if you want to turn people off then suggest they go a cemetery. But of course you are so right because they are places full of wildlife, undisturbed, respected and cared for by visitors and with wonderful habitat where wildlife can flourish. Your pictures are quite beautiful, especially the blossom shots in the water. Spring really is on the way. Enjoy the rest of the week.
