Painted Glow of a New Dawn~

A good day to the moon as it slowly begins to settle in the west, while the sun coming up from behind me, painted a lovely glow that lit up the red barn below~

The Black Swan was looking pretty cold when I got to the frozen pond where it resides~

The Alpaca looked pitiful out in the field, where ice had formed in it's fur...burr, it was really cold at 28'~

  3. Mary, I love your new look. Recently I have pondered making my background lighter.

Lovely photos and I especially love the evening light that was captured at the base of the farms buildings.

  4. A most stunning series of chilly morning photographs! Love the feeling I get when viewing the first scenic image with the glowing ember sunlight reflecting of the barn ... very peaceful. Precious alpaca profile shots. The lighting really is quite lovely. I especially like the frosty snowflakes on its shaggy head. A joy to visit your wonderful blog!

  5. what a beautiful frosty morning! Love the red light on the barn but pity my poor Australian black swan, a native of a land that seldom and then only in places has temperatures below freezing.

  6. It looks too cold for human or beast! But it does make for some beautiful photos. The sun shining on the barn was wonderful! The black swan is pretty but that alpaca is down right adorable!!

  15. Beautiful pictures as always. I love the moon and the bare tree, and the moon through the fence. The alpaca pictures are great; I've never seen them up close that I remember. Not the prettiest face (but it probably thinks the same about me). Very nice.
