Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

Collecting Fuel for Colder Weather~

The songbirds are in a mad rush around here, gathering up fuel to get them through the winter months of bitter cold weather.  Here a Tufted Titmouse cracks open a wild Dogwood tree berry.  Many of our fir trees have assorted berries and the big one around our place is the wild Honeysuckle berries, which will be the last to be taken on our land~

Within 10 miles of Tingsgrove is Foxhollow Farm.  They have fresh produce, beef cattle and lots of family activities.  They also have a beautiful nature trail.  At one end of the trail lies a Geopuncture Stone Circle.  The circle was designed a few years ago by Marko Pogacnik.  He had completed a 3 year training course along with 28 students, and afterwards designed 28 "Cosmogrammes" which were carved into these stones.  They represent Aspects of Divine Presence on earth and other aspects that can be viewed at:

  2. What cutie!

The birds are eating everything around here. I wanted to take a picture of a heavy crabapple crop we got this year but when I went back 2 days later it had about 2 apples on it.

  6. Hello, Mary
Your blog is amazing. I have always had a love for hawks and falcons, and wish I could have learned falconry. I am a Howell by birth, and have ancestry roots in Texas, and Alabama, but was born in California. My brother is Troy Howell, childrens' book illustrator, recently wrote 'The Dragon of Cripple Creek' and lives in Virginia with his wife. Cripple Creek, Colorado has a working gold mine which my brother's story revolves around. Sadly enough it is only 40 miles from the now devastating fires that are raging in Colorado Springs. My brother's blog can be reached via my blog on my right side bar.
Who knows? Maybe we are related.
There was a David Smart Howell who was a great grandfather.
    Life is interesting!
And I feel the presence of God on your blog too~
Have a great Fourth of July
