Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

Sunset Celebrating the Lakota Children at St. Joseph School~

Lakota children who are in great need to escape poverty, abuse and despair found on the Indian reservations, especially in South Dakota, come to St. Joseph School in Chamberlain. Bill and I along with Meaka have visited the school twice before and on this visit we had the pleasure of meeting Father Steve, who heads up this marvelous school. At this beautiful safe haven, the children can gain self esteem and also have promise and hope for a brighter future, and also regain pride in their heritage. So much has been taken from the American Indians, and this is just one small way, to help improve the future generations~

  2. Beautiful shots! And interesting story. I recently stopped there with my sister on our way across the state. We ate at the McDonald’s there. It seemed like such a nice town.
