Fishing Osprey and Fly Fishing in Yellowstone Country~

;))), My poor husby..."Stop, I have to get out of the car... NOW"~   He gingerly pulled over just in time, for me to get the top image of the Osprey, and I caught it actually through his car window, as I was getting out, and thus a bit of shadow at top right corner.  It was to be the first of two sightings of an Osprey hunting on this journey.  What beautiful birds and I loved watching it still/hover above the water.  The people fly fishing in the same stream, were neither bothered, nor bothered the hunt of the Osprey.  This was our first hour inside the park and I will have a great more to share later.  Have a great day, and always be safe~
*Note...the nest.  Many of these are typical of what the Osprey use out in this great land~

  1. Fabulous countryside Mary and a fabulous bird to go with it. What a shame that people don't stop for at least a moment or two and watch Ospreys. Maybe we should be happy that not everyone has the insight to appreciate wildlife, giving us the chance to often be alone with nature.
