Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

3 Bird Tales for the Price of 2 Eggs~

I cannot think of anything too clever to say about today's entry, other than, I present to you my friends, one very handsome rooster, high up in a tree, cock-a-doodling his morning alarm song in my direction.  I must say, I am not always so excited about Roosters, yet I thought this was quite a dashing looking chap~

Then there was the little Peachick, that ended up trapped in a barrier and could not reach the confines of the Peahen and I had to step in, and save the day.;) I lifted the young one over the fence and into the arms of, OK, well maybe not the arms, but the to the joyful clucking sounds of it's bewildered mother~

People around here call a male Turkey...Tom Turkeys and this big beautiful fellah had no desire to pose for any photographs, and he wanted no sweet talk coming from me either.  All he wanted was to flirt with the female Turkeys and that was fine with me.  I am thinking that the only thing that would see him as handsome, would be another Turkey anyway, well maybe~

Since the Emu and Ostriches share the same grounds at the wildlife park that I visited recently, I do not know if these 2 eggs were laid by the Emu, or the Ostritch, but decided to post them anyway~

Sunday morning begins our holiday journey for the next 2 weeks.  I am taking my trusty laptop with me, in hopes of keeping up with your blogs, as well as possibly getting some of my own shares in along the way.

We are taking our German Shepherd and heading from our home in Ky/USA for the Badlands, Glacier, Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, as well as the Black Hills National Forest.  I am so hoping to see some new wildlife species...  My heart's desire this journey would be for a Great Gray Owl, Grizzley Bears and Moose at the top of my list, yet anything will be awesometastical!

  1. Lovely critters Mary and those eggs are ostrich, Emu eggs are dark.

Enjoy your holiday and I wish you all the owls, moose and bears your heart desires and a few wolves for good measure. I just love wolves, I don't know what it is about them except may be that a young (teenager) one came up to me in the Rockies.

    Have a safe trip!
