Apples and Corn for Supper~

This morning, I awoke very early and prepared myself for an 11 hour day of watching my 3 year old grandson Braden. It was a morning with heavy fog and the 18 mile round trip  drive was anything but fun.
Once I arrived with all of the things I had packed for us for our day together, I knocked on the door and my son-in-law asked me " What were your plans going to be for today?" I said Braden and I are going to the zoo. Dale then told me that my daughter had to study for some heavy duty tests in her RN training and that they had taken Braden to Dale's parents home and he had spent the night. They forgot all about it being Tuesday, my day with him...thus, I came back home and took my walk and now have time to catch up with everyone once again. Bless Brittany though, working 54 hours over the weekend, working hard in her nursing school, maintaining the Dean's List the past 3 semesters, full time wife and momma, I was fine with her forgetfulness. After all, I am the one they always tease about forgetfulness these days.

The White-tailed deer family... 3 to 4 year old twin bucks have been coming to feed at my next door neighbors home since they themselves were fawns. The doe is most probably about the same age and is a very gentle, calm deer. She was still pregnant with I shared images of her taken on June 23, so this fawn, which she introduced to us last week, was right at a month old.  It was just about nightfall and I was sitting on their deck, some 130 feet away.  I am terrible about how to take proper evening images and ended up setting my camera at different settings to get these to share...
One day, I shall learn how to take them, but until then, these are what they are. 
The female would not bring the fawn down to eat, until she had scared off the bucks and then it was her turn with the fawn~
