Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

Spring is Nearly Over, Before it Began~

The collage above was done a few weeks ago and some of what you see, are Wild Phlox, Shooting Stars, Lilacs, lush green moss as well as water ripples in the sun.

Momma Gray Squirrel above tending to a young one that seems to have already lost the tip end of it's tail.  I see this often and it may have been a cat that grabbed it, a car just barely missing it, or even another predator.

The Red-bellied Woodpecker below is taking it's fill of mixed birdseed.  They come every day for little snack type meals, depending more on insects this time of year.  In colder months they are around the feeders much more~

Eastern Cottontails are not very plentiful where we live, yet just 3 miles from here there is an area where they thrive beautifully~

  1. A lovely little cotton tail. I am always bemused when I see Americans refer to the mid-summer month of June as spring as well as having Christmas in Autumn. I keep wondering who the idiot was who decreed this messing about with the seasons.

  3. Lovely collage of pinks and whites Mary and that squirrel peeking round the tree made me smile. Have a great weekend by the way, and enjoy your birding as you always do.
