Squirrels, Bluebirds, Dogs & Bees... Oh My~

Just one of those days... that brought large amounts of rain, loud claps of thunder, some lightening strikes, large doses of high winds and even so, I was able to get in some pretty nice captures.

I took our German Shepherd...Countess Meaka Von Warfenburg...

Meaka for short on a little drive.  We came upon a Red-fox Squirrel doing what they like doing way too often...goofing off in the middle of the lane, so I made sure it got out of the way and it offered me a couple of nice poses for the help.  We also saw a female Eastern Bluebird with nest building materials in her beak.  It was beginning to rain and so we came home.  Since it is spring break, a few neighbors are traveling and I have been left in charge of their porperties.  I always take my camera with me and on the lovely assorted Hyacinths across the lane, a bee was busy collecting pollen.  All in all, it was a very nice day, even with all of the naughty weather~
