Brooding Hen and Colourful Fields~

Well, she may not look so pretty from the position and distance that I took her nest image from, but she is still looking quite tidy.  With all of her brooding responsibilities, and having to be still for such long periods of time in high gusty winds, rain and even last week some light snow, I think she is looking quite lovely.  We are on, or about at day 20 ish..., hard to know for sure, because I was good and kept away during the period of nest building, etc...  I love the fields just before the farmers plow them under for spring planting...brilliant display of colours~

  5. Lovely colours there Mary, I guess the farmers over your way don't mind a few spring flowers in their fields. Over here anything unwanted (natural) is sprayed into oblivion.
