Tree Frog Released Back Into Nature~

Back on October 28, a little Tree Frog found it's way into my heart and home. For some reason, it just would not go with it's chums into hibernation. I have an aquarium with a 3 year old Box Turtlette named Brooke Ivy. I thought that I would just allow the frog and the turtlette to hibernate together and that is what they have done. A week to ten days ago, they began to stir about. While the turtlette went back into her flower pot, the frog stayed in another flowerpot that holds a plant where it could...it thought...hide. Little frog began to move about all day, so on Monday, I released it back into nature, and it seemed to smile a big farewell. We have a hill heavy with English Ivy, bamboo, lots of trees and a creek, so it can have it's way just about any place it chooses. The last sighting of the little winter guest it was going down into a heavy growth of English Ivy. We are to get some pretty cold weather this evening and tomorrow, but I am certain nature will take care of the little frog...the bottom three images were taken on the day that the guest arrived, and the others were taken on day of release~
