Right Outside My Window~

I just had pulled back a curtain on the third floor of our home, when I spotted the large female adult R-S fly past and landed on a limb near by the window.  I had to keep back from view and also these were taken through glass, yet here she is.  She and her mate have been hanging about the past several days along our two acres and the boundaries nearby.  They have not yet selected a nest site, thus, no breeding has begun.  She later flew down and grabbed a chipmunk below, but I was not able to capture that from my hiding place ;)

  2. Hi Mary, you made that sound almost casual for the hawk - just grabbed a chipmunk, just like that, no problem. Must be quite a thing to witness though. Have a great weekend - its Saturday evening here.

  7. Hi - I thought it was good to be able to see parrots in my garden when I wake up (and I still do for that matter), but these birds are something else. Wow!
