Pickey, Pickey, Pickey & Off Focus Some~

The little Gray Squirrel was really careful about selecting just the right Hickory nut.  Once it was selected, it took off to bury it and then went right up the same tree and selected one that he had passed over the previous time.  The Red-Shouldered Hawk images are a bit off focus, don't ask and I won't tell, mainly because, I have no clue as to why, they turned out so badly, yet here they are anyway.  Enjoy your weekend~

  3. Do you think that the Hawk is after the Squirrel?

  5. Thank you for commenting on my blog. I understand that autofocusing a little squirrel is very tough when covered with branches. Light/shadow made by branches has higher contrast that attracts camera autofocus. I don't think I can do any better job than you did. Great capture!!!
Thanks for sharing and have a wonderful day.

  6. I have wondered why squirrels pass over one nut and choose another. How do they know which one is the best?
