And Then They Were Gone~

This shall be the last post of 3 showing my recent visit from the wonderful Cedar Waxwings.  At least the last of the ones from their visit to the Honeysuckle berries.  I still need to upload from my camera some on a Crabapple tree;)  I would love to be able to treat them to something they enjoy and keep them round year round, and yet I suppose we must share their journey and the favor with others as well~

  1. Beautiful collection Mary once again. Like our bohemians they went in another area to feed. It looks like the bohemians over here have been spotted in the center of the city now ;-)

We discussed with other birders to try to see how we could keep them in the same areas, and one of them told us that last year, he kept 10 of them in his garden by feeding them with apple. It looks like they love them... but the winter was quite expensive as these little fellows were eating 10 apples a day!! he kept them from November to March!!!

  2. These are such beautiful birds and you got some great shots of them. They migrate through here but don't linger long, wish they would.

  3. Hiya Mary,

Don't know where to start: your sky picture looks enticing, but so does this bird sequence.
    How very accomplished.

  4. They are beautiful birds. Nice to be able to sit and enjoy nature up close. Agree with you nothing restores the soul like a walk up the beach or through the woods.

Liked your sky watch post photos, they have a great mood about them.

  9. OK I saw cedar waxwings on your sidebar and just couldn't resist visiting this old post. These are my favorite EVER birds. Beautiful pictures. Someone told me that they don't migrate on the same path, so even if you see them in a place one year, you probably won't the next.
