Two Year Round Visitors~

Nuthatches and Chickadees are always a welcome guest at one of our many feeders.  It impresses me when people do the many bird counts, for I would have no idea how many different visitors we have daily.  I missed a great opportunity the other day when a very young Nuthatch had come to a feeder and I all but reached out and touched it, for I expect it had been born near by and was already use to my presence.  No camera in hand, it was left sitting on a bench whicle I refilled the seed~

  1. Two of my favourite year-round visitors, too, although I have a red-breasted nuthatch in my yard. Love your photos of them. You are inspiring me to go out and capture my chickadees and nuthatches with my camera! :)

  2. Wow I should really try to put feeders over here, just to see what happens ;-) Yours are quite successful.. Well done Mary, the pictures are splendid!

  3. Hi Mary, When in Canada I never did get to see White-breasted Nuthatch, only Red-breasted so it's a treat to see your photos. And that Chickadee looks so much like my blog header.

  4. How clear and crisp are your photos! I bet it is a sweet sound to hear as they chirp early in the morning!

  5. nuthatches! i love love love 'em (all species). They just seem to all have so much personality, and i really like their vocalizations. They make me happy - chickadees too. Love the pictures :)

I enjoy each visitor to "Red Shouldered Hawks of Tingsgrove and Beyond" I truly appreciate those who have become followers to my blog and really am encouraged by the wonderful comments.
FYI if you leave ANONYMOUS comments, they will never get published, so please don't waste your time.

Thanking you~
