Silver Spotted and Least Skippers~

Bottom 3 images are of a Silver Spotted Skipper and the top 5 are of the Least Skipper.  We have more of the Least than the Silver Spotted around the grove.  The Least is about half the size of the Silver Spotted~

  1. Mary,

No Least Skipper in these photos. See http://www.rlephoto.com/skippers_grass1/skipper_least01.htm The skipper with closed wings is a male Sachem, the skipper on clover is a male Fiery Skipper. Enjoyed the Silver-spotted Skipper photos, nice work!

  2. Thank you all, and thank you very much Randy for keeping me straight. I only had the Kentucky Butterfly and Moth list to go by and I guess they lock all of the little chaps into one grouping~
