Truly One of My Favorites~

Who does not enjoy butterflies...  For me they are one of the most amazing creatures and every year I am so grateful to have them even among the woodlands I share.  There are enough garden settings, and enough of what they need to thrive, and they have truly been in high numbers this season.  It seems no matter where I go, there are butterflies.  Ever since I was young, one of my favorite butterflies has been the Black Swallowtail.  They are truly one of the most beautiful species and their wings resemble fine lace as they flit and flutter about.  I still have one that I enjoy as well and I still have never had the opportunity to photograph it.  The Zebra Swallowtail is on my big wish list~

  5. Lovely images again Mary. The top two especially look like stained glass windows with the contrast of the black and the colours. By the way I dont have a favourite bird but I do have favourites for each season. Right now it is Swallow but soon it may have to change.
