Flickers Sunbathing in 103' Heat Wave~

Kentucky has had the hottest late spring and summer season in a long while.  June was the hottest since weather people began taking note.  This past 2 days has broken records from past 3 years, topping out at 103' in the shade here on the grove.  Two Yellow-Shafted Flickers decided to sunbath after taking a warm dip in the creeks pool~

  1. Oh wow, how nice it probably has been to witness this nature scene! Wow I would love to see them one day. These flickers are wonderful and the sequence of pictures you show us is exquisite. Wonderful Mary.
