Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

This Makes it all Worthwhile~

Urghhh, sometimes, I wish I understood all of the lighting and photography techniques to where I could work around this kind of situation, but since I do not, I must confess these are in terrible lighting and they just do not show off this beautiful Eyas, the way I would have desired, but I am not going to waste them either.  The young one was one day from it's flight day and it was served all meals from the nest.  The adults kept dropping off meals in tandem and it seemed the young one ate all day long.  Nature must have known, it was time and it needed all of the energy possible.  After each meal, the young one became a bit antimated, and that is when these images were taken~

Note:  I would like to dedicate this post to some very special people.  Vickie Henderson, whom encouraged me to begin my blog now over a year ago. Judy and Dave, who never miss  a post entry, and who owns the property from last year's nesting season. To Ricardo and Marquisa for allowing me to trek all over their property this nesting season.  I appreciate you all more than you can possibly know and each of you have blessed my life.  Then, of course to each of those whom follow my blogs, as well as newcomers, for it would be not so much fun, if I were not gifting the share of nature photography with each of you.  A huge thank you to all~

  2. Thank you, Mary. So glad you persevered with your blog and your observations of RS Hawks. This post is awesome, the very thing that I missed when I was observing the nesting pair here. So special!

  4. Despite all the difficulties you have done an excellent job following the life of this pair and their offspring...well done Mary.
I have days when it works (often don't know how) and may when it doesn't...as Bill said 'just keep trying'. FAB.
