Captured Pileated images in flight~

Sometimes my camera fails me miserably in that it will not always focus on something quick enough, especially something moving in flight. I had just released a water turtle and happened to glance up when this wonderful Pileated came in my direction.  My camera was faithful this time and so I can thus share these images, and I am very delieghted with them too~

  1. I am admiring your captures greatly!
Getting clear photos about fast moving objects is not easy at all - I have poor experiences :)

    Good Thursday to you, Mary!

  2. Brilliantly done Mary. It looks positively prehistoric in flight and I never realised they had that two pronged tail shape.

  3. These are wonderful! They must be really hard to get in flight and you did a perfect job! Wow!
