While searching for the location of the new hawk nest, I came upon my old winter friend the Yellow-Shafted Flicker, now ready to form a bond with it's mate and begin a new generation of same~

  1. I've seen a few Flickers here lately, but always in flight. We have plenty of ants on our property, so they will be looking for lunch before long.
