Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

It's biggest challenge beyond the snow was the same one causing conflict with all of the songbirds~

We had a huge snow storm yesterday, which also produced very high winds and drifting.  One of the songbirds that I kept an eye on was a lonely Blue Jay.  It stayed around the umbrella with a good food supply underneath.  It's biggest challenge beyond the snow was the same one causing conflict with all of the songbirds.  The Mockingbird has been protecting all four sides of our home, claiming all as it's territory.  Eventually it does stay calm for a bit and allows those to feed, until it decides enough already~

  3. Those shots with the snow on the jays face tells a bigger story for sure.

  4. I have a very territorial mockingbird, too and sometimes I just feel like throwing something at him! If he would keep the Starlings away, I would be happier with him. Love the Jay shots...that punk crest is funny :-) The berry shot is beautiful.
