Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

In all of my adventures with them, this was the closest that I had ever been~

For any newcomers, I have been following this pair since 1996 and keep a watchful eye on them as oft as I can. My past few weeks had been on the stress side and I really needed a lift and boy did I get one yesterday. Where I live is a largely wooded area cut off into acre lots. There are lanes that dead end and one must sometimes drive to get round to another neighbor's home. In doing that yesterday, with camera always at the ready, just as I had pulled along the lane, both adults flew across my car and landed right to the left of where I stopped. In all of my adventures with them, this was the closest that I had ever been. The male ( first three images at the bottom of post) did not stay long, but the larger female ( remaining images ) stayed around long enough for me to capture well over one hundred images. They were perched in a highly wooded area, with light snow falling, thus, the lighting was not the best, yet I was still thrilled with this opportunity gifted over~

Oh and by the way, so long as they are hunting together, that means they have not selected a nest site as of yet for this upcoming season.  Tingsgrove is still in the running, along with hundreds of more acres.  Here is hoping~
