Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

I decided to place a nest box within the walls of the entryway and there is where they have either nested, and, or spent every winter, each generation since, until this year~

We have lived in our home for thirty years and one of our very first visitors were the Carolina Wrens. Our home has a protected entryway and I usually have a seasonal wreath there. One year the Wrens decided to use it to build their nest in. Every time we entered, or exited the door, they were there. After a bit, I decided to place a nest box within the walls of the entryway and there is where they have either nested, and, or spent every winter, each generation since, until this year. My husband was in the garage last week and took notice of some staining on the floor. He looked up to see two Wrens sound asleep nestled together along the air conditioner. He placed a new box up next to it the next day and it took 3 evenings for the first Wren to take it over and the next evening both were snug in their new indoor quarters. They hold their own around the teritorial Mockingbird too. Live sure is good for those two~

  1. It is so satisfying to have the birds and animals accept one and co-habit with confidence. Your little wrens are a dear delight as is your photography.

Thank you for your kind comment. Unfortunately what cannot be mended must be endured. With two replaced heart valves and a third that cannot be fixed, I muddle along as best I can and enjoy the incredible beauty around me.
