There are many horses that are owned for the pure pleasure of loving the animal~

In Kentucky, we still have the "working" class horses, along with the beauty and strength of thoroughbreds, and the pride of the American Saddlebreds. In this post, I wanted to share a few images that I took the other day, while driving along in horse country, my homeland. There are many horses that are owned for the pure pleasure of loving the animal, and also in helping earn their keep when needed to work the land. There they stood in the cold wind, light snow falling and covered in dirt and muck, and they still looked beautiful to me!  Horses are one of the most beautiful creatures that I can go just about anywhere near my home and almost always catch a glimpse of~

  1. Very cute post Mary, or how to throw the light on animals that we see too often and forget to consider as potential photo subject... I love the alst one a lot!

  2. The white horse looks to be smiling at you in the last photo. Its fun to watch them graze so close and in tandem to one another. Its nice to see the landscape filled with animals doing what they do best.
