Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

Protecting the waterways, the trees of the lands, are vital to the generations that have not even been born yet~

The images of winter are so much more of a dreamy like quality, especially when a light fog gathers, or a chilling mist arises...I had never heard of "ice fog" until recently, interesting nature concept.  Since I do not swim, and am rather afraid of the water, though the thought of being near water in the winter somehow calms me.  The frozen surface, maybe not being able to see what lurks beneath, not really sure, but I find it a good time of reflection, and a nod to the very good that water brings to nature, the value immense to the survival of all creation.  Sprigs of autumn leaf colour remains among the cold stark limbs of winter and I love the value of them along side each other.  Trees are also a valuable part of the scheme of what makes nature thrive.  Protecting the waterways, the trees of the lands, are vital to the generations that have not even been born yet. A Mourning Dove completes my visit in nature for this day, taking a nappie in the cold of winter, yet alert to the wilds that could claim it...~

  1. Your experience in nature is so rewarding and fun for you. I love your posts and your pictures. As the seasons change, I have to change what I am doing. Right now teaching, and ice fishing takes most of my time - but - then my wife decided the house needed painted on the inside. Not complaining - just would love to be doing other things than removing wallpaper and doing the prep work for the painters. She knows better than to have me paint. Have a great weekend.

  2. Without trees the world and all it's occupants would not exist. Excellent post Mary.
