Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.
Nature creates in me, a spiritual and meditative time to bring peace, harmony and balance, into an otherwise ordinary day~

One Must Enjoy the Moment As It Is Given~

Since my blog began back in June ending of 2009, and the main topic at the time was Red-Shouldered Hawks, I think it wonderful when I can view others of the same species, other than the ones that live here. As my husband and I traveled into market today, I caught a glimpse of a Red-Shouldered and had to make a quick look-see. As I was snapping away in lousy weather conditions, my husband spotted the mate in an nearby tree. The one that had been on pole, flew to join it and that is the images I shall share in this post. One cannot change poor lighting, or the fact I was in a car, or that it was snowing lightly, but it is still great fun. One must enjoy the moment as it is given and not be too concerned with anything else, for it is all so absolutely beautiful a gift...nature ~

  1. Cool shots of the Red Shouldered Hawks.

  2. Beautiful pictures of beautiful birds. I am going the have to see them sometime. I had a great day today working raptors.

  3. Lovely Photographs and so pleased to see a conservationist become a blogger . These are really beautiful birds and want to closely be with them.

  4. Magical wildlife moments are to be savoured like good wine. Great shots Mary, I would be so intent on watching that the camera might not get used! FAB.

  5. Hi Mary,
magnifiche come sempre le tue foto !
Happy Easter by Igor e Myriam :)

  6. As usual Mary your observational skills and enthusiasm are boundless. Those hawks had better get used to your company - keep it coming.
