Cherish is my favorite word, and I cherish the ability of turning the routine into a beautiful moment.

It was manteling something and it seemed to have made a catch~

It was early this morning when one of our 3 daughters and I began our scenic ride into a nearby city to go Christmas shopping.  As always, my camera was with me and it happened nearly so fast, I may have missed it in another flash of time.  On the wire was a beautiful Red-tailed hawk.  I pulled into a drive off and put down the window, just as it swooped down onto the ground across the two lane road.  It was manteling something and it seemed to have made a catch, then flew up onto a post of the fence rail.  As it flew away, I saw that it must have missed, for it had nothing in it's beak, or talons.  It still was a beautiful moment captured.  YAY, gotta love those sweet ones~
