Wild Turkeys have thus far survived "their day" and the last time I saw them, they were on the run~

This group of Wild Turkeys have thus far survived "their day" and the last time I saw them, they were on the run up into the woods of some private property.  In recent years the small groups have grown in numbers around where we live.  They are surprisingly agile fliers and also as soon as I had snapped up these few photographs, they grew very cautious and ran~

  1. Nice! They can be very tame around here, which is nice for us though it seems a bit risky for the birds.

  2. Great photos of an interesting group of birds. They look as if they are not sure if they should run or stay.

  5. Great collection of Wild Turkey shots Mary. I love that last one of the turkey going into a run. They do that quite often it seems at the slightest sense of danger, or perceived danger.
